What is the difference between overhauling and the complete reconditioning of a centrifugal separator?
Overhauling includes inspection, cleaning, and replacement of worn components, whereas complete reconditioning involves the total dismantling of the machinery, the replacement of all parts subject to mechanical stress, dynamic balancing, testing and inspection, and final painting.
In practice, an Arem reconditioned separator is restored to performances equivalent to new, with a certified warranty.
Which models of centrifugal separators can you recondition?
Arem specialises primarily in the reconditioning of ALFA LAVAL and GEA WESTFALIA centrifugal separators, covering most of the models used in the naval, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and olive oil sectors.
We can also intervene on machinery from other brands, following a technical evaluation.
Does reconditioning affect the machinery's performance?
No, quite the opposite. Thanks to the complete replacement of worn parts and the dynamic balancing and final testing procedures, the performance of the reconditioned separator is equal to or greater than the original, offering improved stability and lower energy consumption.
Is it possible to receive a replacement centrifugal separator during reconditioning?
Yes. During the reconditioning of your machinery, Arem can provide a rental separator, already tested and ready for use, ensuring operational continuity and zero downtime.
Are Arem reconditioned separators covered by a warranty?
Yes. All reconditioned centrifugal separators and bowls come with a minimum 12-month warranty, covering both materials and workmanship.
Each machine is delivered with a testing and inspection report and a certificate of conformity, confirming the quality and reliability of the Arem process.
